Acutech Electric Ltd. began operations September 1, 1996, after Roger & Ben Albers identified a gap in the market. They envisioned a company that prioritized customer service, transparency, and quality workmanship to provide comprehensive electrical contracting and structured cabling systems in the commercial and light industrial sectors. The management team brought a vast range of industry knowledge to the company, gained from over 70 years of cumulative experience from major electrical contracting companies in Southern Alberta. In 2006 the company traded hands to Tim Lang & Scott Albers. Tim Lang, as a longtime colleague and friend of the original ownership only deepens the vast pool of experience. Specifically, through his contacts with the City of Calgary and Telus, and experience of distribution manufacturing, fire alarm systems and extensive construction processes and systems. Scott Albers provided the link to the heritage of Acutech Electrical and kept the vision of the company alive through strengthening relationships and maintaining the high level of workmanship that built the legacy. In 2020 Scott decided to retire and hand over his portion to Jordan Smolak and Andrew McGuire. Both Jordan and Andrew were long time employees, starting the careers with Acutech in 2003 and grew to be exceptional leaders within the company.

Good Earth Renovation – update and improve existing good earth coffee house
Mental Health In Patient Room Repairs – Upgrade to existing pediatric mental health rooms
Facilities Maintenance & Engineering – Working directly with the maintenance to install additional power, communications, security and lighting
FMC – maintained and crew within the Foothills Medical Centre since 1997 to present
Fire Code Upgrades – remove, replace and update the fire alarm systems within the Main Building, Special Service Building, North/South Tower and Tom Baker Cancer Centre
LINAC Vault Replacements – Upgrade all the existing radiation vaults in the TBCC with new targeted radiation machine for cancer patients
Cath Lab Renovations – Removed and replaced all existing cardiac CT X-Rays with new
UPS Upgrade – install new UPS Battery banks in the Main Building, SSB & McCaig Tower c/w UPS branch circuit panel through the entire facility
15KV Switchgear Replacement – Remove & replace existing 15KV switchgear in the active facility with minimal shutdown and disruptions
Allied Burn Unit – Upgrades and renovation to entire burn unit
Nurse Call Upgrades – upgrade and existing nurse call systems
MRI, CT, Angiography & Fluoroscopy Installations – Remove, replace and upgrade existing installations for new DI equipment
Facilities Maintenance & Engineering – Working directly with the maintenance to install additional power, communications, security and lighting
RGH – working in the Rockyview General Hospital constantly from 2008 to present

ICU, CCU & GI – addition of new Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit and Gastrointestinal Unit
Chiller Replacement – Replace and addition of new chiller in existing facility

Unit 47, 48, 57, 58 & 59 Med Room Upgrades – replaced existing med rooms
PLC – working in the Peter Lougheed Centre constantly from 2013 to present
Pandemic Facility – Emergency installation of a 68-bed unit over a 3-week period (design to completion) during the 2020 pandemic (as per the attached video)
